Space Design Portfolio
Transforming everyday spaces into intentional environments — where function meets warmth and every detail is deliberate.

"I don't just organize spaces. I redesign how a home feels to live in — from the pantry you open every morning to the backyard you escape to at night."
About the Designer
I'm Antwanique Taylor — a Charlotte-based space designer who believes the spaces you live in should actively work for you. Every project in this portfolio was conceptualized, planned, and executed by me, start to finish.
My process starts with how a space actually gets used. Then I layer in material selection, lighting, color, and custom storage systems that feel as good as they look. Whether it's an interior pantry buildout or a full outdoor living environment, my work reflects a clear point of view: warm, grounded, and real.
I document every transformation — from the original condition to the final reveal — because the story of a space matters as much as the result.
Featured Work
Kitchen & Storage Design
Started with wire shelving, items piled on the floor, and zero system. Rebuilt from scratch — custom L-shaped butcher block countertop, warm pine open shelving with under-shelf LED lighting throughout, sage-painted cabinetry with brass hardware, labeled jar systems, cereal dispensers, and a fully zoned layout designed around how the family actually eats.

Outdoor Living Design
A full backyard transformation designed as an outdoor room — hardtop gazebo with draped curtains, a curated seating arrangement with egg chair accent, candle lighting, and a custom paver walkway leading in from the yard. Photographed at dusk to show the full ambiance of the finished environment. Every element — layout, furniture placement, lighting, and greenery — was planned and installed by me.
Landscape & Hardscape Design
Designed from grid paper to ground — a 13×22 ft paver pad with river rock inlay, bordered by boxwood plantings in black mulch, with a dry creek bed accent and a 19×8 ft concrete pad extension. The project started as a bare fenced yard and became a structured, livable outdoor space. The hand-drawn plan is included to show the full design process from concept through execution.

Interior Flooring Design
A custom hexagonal tile installation with an intentionally organic edge treatment — tiles feathering out into the existing hardwood rather than cutting off abruptly. The irregular boundary was deliberate design, creating visual movement between kitchen and living spaces. Material, pattern, and transition were all planned prior to installation.

Design Philosophy
"A well-designed space doesn't shout — it settles. It makes you exhale."
I design for real people living real lives. That means building systems that stay organized after the reveal, choosing materials that age beautifully, and making sure every space reflects the person who lives in it — not just a trend. Function is non-negotiable. Beauty is the standard.
